Native Americans are one of the most disenfranchised and historically neglected communities in the United States. HIF is working to develop projects and services tailored to the needs of these unique and diverse communities. We are taking a holistic approach that will lead to sustainable impact by working within the context of specific tribes. This project has three primary focal points:

Leadership SummitBringing leaders from various tribes together, HIF will facilitate a conversation tapping into shared experiences and challenges. In this format, pathways to solutions will be uncovered.

Education ProgrammingHIF will deliver education programming, including our art-education experience We're Talking About Art to reservations. These programs enhance fundamental skills empowering thinkers, creators, problem solvers, and innovators.

Community DevelopmentHIF will provide tailored bundles to help tribal communities thrive. We will work with leaders to create sustainable strategies addressing immediate needs and preparing for the future. This will include education, community development, and exploring green energy solutions.

WTAA is an effective application of Art-Ed. It engages audiences, delivers information, and has a unique capacity to hone important skills, explore the artistic process, and examine various subjects and topics.
Art is recommended as an essential component of education. There are many programs and curriculums labeled art-education, but they are, in truth, more often art in education programs. WTAA delivers the art-education concept often outlined and described in studies, reports, and writings of those who study effective education method. Art-Ed. creates capable and holistic individauls. However, its models are often restricted by a misappropriation of art itself, and the influences of monetary, time, and political hinderances. It is a reason why WTAA is necessary to augment the pre-existing programs and curriculums. WTAA advances the effectiveness and accessibility of art-education platforms already in existance.
